Titus O’Reily

Renowned Australian writer, presenter, performer and broadcaster

Titus O’Reily has been capturing the trials and tribulations of being an obsessive sports fan via his weekly commentary and sporting round-ups since 2012. His hugely popular Sports Bizarre podcast with Mick Molloy launched in 2023.

As well as his own sell-out national comedy tours, O’Reily appears regularly on TV and radio, including The Front Bar, Today, ABC Radio and Triple M.

His book, Please Gamble Irresponsibly (2019) traces the history of gambling in Australia from horseracing in the colonial era, through the rise of SP bookies and organised crime to the arrival of the internet and the challenges this presents for Australia and the integrity of sport.

Titus has written three other books, all published by Penguin Random House: A Thoroughly Unhelpful History of Australian Sport (2017), A Sporting Chance (2018), and Cheat: The not-so-subtle art of conning your way to sporting glory (2020).
